Pilates fitness is part of what keeps Sarah Michelle Gellar confident and energetic enough to keep up with her 2-year-old daughter, the Hollywood actress tells Self magazine.
The 34-year-old star of “Ringer” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” doesn’t even work out every day, she admits — but she’s not losing any sleep over it.
“You can’t live your life by the scale. We don’t even have one in our house,” she says in the article, which is in the magazine’s December issue. “I’ve never believed in them, because your weight fluctuates. It’s more about how my clothing fits than a number.
“Besides” Gellar adds, “if you deny yourself everything because you’re so focused on the mirror or the scale, then when do you get to enjoy life?”
Gellar didn’t even go overboard with her exercising as she worked her way back into shape after giving birth to her daughter, Charlotte Grace.
Still, Self’s cover photo shows a smiling — and decidedly fit-looking — new mom who seems to have found a comfortable balance and grace in her life.
